Another week, and another new choir! My latest choir is called Transeamus Chamber Choir and has been formed with the sole purpose of performing Britten’s Ceremony of Carols.
The choir is made up of friends who I have brought together for this one off performance along with professional Harpist Elizabeth Jane Baldry. The concert will take place at St Peter’s Church in Milton Lilbourne on Sunday 7th December at 4pm in aid of charity. The plan is to have a concert of 2 halves with a few solos in the first half. There will then be a break for mulled wine and mince pies, followed by the performance of Ceremony of Carols by Candlelight.
The performance will be given by 11 singers split into 3 treble parts (SSA) with the usual solos. The choir met for the first time yesterday and the sound was stunning so this promises to be an event not to miss! Further information concerning tickets will be published soon. But for now please put 7 December 2014 in your diary to hear this fantastic choir.
