Last Saturday saw the culmination of about 4 months effort from around 100 people across 5 choirs all coming together at St Andrew’s Church in Chippenham to raise money for the Brighter Futures Breast Cancer Appeal run by the GWH NHS Trust in Swindon.
The original incentive for this concert came from my good friend and musician Clive Stocker who asked me if we could put on a joint concert with his choir ‘Adlib Vocal Ensemble’. Through a combination of posters being displayed across Wiltshire, Choir Members encouraging family and friends to come along and a final push on the Radio with BBC Wiltshire on the morning of the concert, we had an audience of around 130 which filled the church.
I’m delighted to report that yesterday I was able to hand over a cheque to Brighter Futures for £1600!
